IT'S THE BRIPPITS!

(Geddit? You know, Wippit / Brits...)

When Russell Brand stepped up to host the first Brit Awards to be televised in more than a 100 years the World gasped. What will happen when pipe-cleaner legged 'funnyman' says something out of order about equinesque Amy Winehouse - will it turn into a mass bundle and exactly how many times will he swear outrageously in cod-Dickensian prose? Well, much to viewers disgust nothing untoward happened. He was a pretty good host and the winners were all superb and a real credit to Rock and Roll respectively.

To celebrate we've put together a collection of our Brits favourites. Wippit is tired of being marginalised as the best place for the coolest underground Indie sounds. We have Take That too dammit! And a fine collection from Outstanding Contributors Oasis, Best Male James Morrison, Best Female Amy W, The Fratellis, Killers, Muse, Orson, Justin and double winners those darn crazy Arctic Monkeys.

Albums start from £4.99 as usual. Plus if you join LUUP at the checkout and they'll give you £3 towards your purchase.

Murder By Death S

With traces of rock, country, punk and a girl playing an electric cello, it's hard to place Murder By Death (but we've put them in our Alternative section). In Bocca Al Lupo is the band's third album (all of which are free if you're a Wippit subscriber), and paints a desperate and beautifully dark picture from Indiana.

Competition time!

Congratulations to Wippit subscribers Anna, Emily and Mat who won our Tokyo Police Club competition last week.

This week, we've got a Murder By Death tshirt to give away to a lucky Wippit subscriber. To win just tell us which grubby detective-playing actor starred in the 1976 film of the same name before 28th February. Runners-up will scoop themselves Murder By Death badges and stickers so go on - try your luck! This competition is only open Wippit Subscribers, members of the Dutch Royal Family and ladies named Niki (all Niki's are hot you see...).
